Principles, Policies, Standards, Framework, Procedures, and Guidelines

I was discussing principles and standards today with my team and this question came up. What is the difference between the two? Furthermore what is the difference between all of these - Principles, Policies, Standards, Framework, Procedures, and Guidelines?

I think Peter Akien's book "Data Strategy and the Enterprise Data
Executive" answers these questions. I found it to be a good source for the
bridge between business-driven and IT-enabled. people, process, policy, and
technology are all explained with the relationship between each of them.
