This question appeared in the Data Modeling Best Practices Approaches chat room. From what I learned from Donna Burbank, yes graph databases should be modeled as the data pertains to the use case, purpose and audience. A graph database shows relationships between entities. Understanding the business rules and technical requirements behind those relationships is very important. As Donna says, you do not want to be looking at your data model and wonder what is meant by a customer in the use case. There are many different tools and slides will be available by end of day Monday, 10/28/19.
Should and How should I model graph databases?
